About Journal

Advanced Sciences and Technology Journal (ASTJ) is a multidisciplinary, open-access, peer-reviewed journal issued by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology - Egyptian Chinese University. It is devoted to publishing state-of-the-art research in Engineering (architecture, arts, mechanical, electrical, electronics, civil engineering, design, technology, energy, mechatronics engineering, and computer science). ASTJ is dedicated to publishing high-quality, well-informed, insightful research articles, making it an ideal resource for anyone seeking to stay informed on the latest research in these fields.

The Journal is issued semiannually in online forms and is supported by international editorial board members who are experts in several fields. 

Research work submitted to the journal is subject to DOUBLE-BLIND international refereeing. The idea is that everyone should get a similar and unbiased review. Also, a board of prominent referees from all fields related to engineering judges the quality and value of all offered studies. 

Open Access Policy:

This journal is an international peer-reviewed OPEN ACCESS journal. OPEN ACCESS means that all contents of this journal, are freely available on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution and the only role for copyright in this domain should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.

Copyrights

Copyrights are legal rights that attach to some types of intellectual property. Copyrights are granted to authors of creative works at the time of the work's creation in a fixed, tangible form. In publishing in this Journal, authors do not have to apply for or file copyright. Copyright is one of several intellectual property (IP) rights that exist, including, amongst others, trademarks, patents, and designs. Intellectual property is a fundamental right as stated by the Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No. 82 (2002) similar legislation around the globe. The owner of a copyright has the authority to use the work in one of four ways (examples of each provided as bullet points):

  • To reproduce and/or distribute copies of the work, by making physical or digital copies of their work for colleagues, students, or others
  • To prepare derivative works based upon the work, a subsequent article, chapter, or book that builds upon their original research
  • To publicly display / Show / Exhibit the work or certain part of the work in the classroom or at conferences
  • To publicly perform/ broadcast sound recordings via digital audio of the work

Plagiarism:

The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional plagiarism checking software. Submitted manuscripts with an unacceptable similarity index resulting from plagiarism are rejected immediately.
